Designated Charities

Proceeds from the sale of Real Life Interviews are divided among the charities designated by the Contributors interviewed in Real Life Interviews and are arranged in alphabetical order.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat For Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat For Humanity has built more than 300,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.5 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

Healing Hearts
Healing Hearts International Ministries is a counseling ministry which uses Bible teaching to set men and women free from the heartache of abortion.

New Horizons Ministry
As a multi-cultural organization, New Horizons Ministry’s mission is to be in relationship with homeless and street involved young people, serving and loving in the way of Jesus, equipping them to live life on better terms.

One Organization
At ONE, we achieve change through advocacy. We hold world leaders to account for the commitments they’ve made to fight extreme poverty, and we campaign for better development policies, more effective aid and trade reform. We also support greater democracy, accountability and transparency to ensure policies to beat poverty are implemented effectively.

Pediatric Interim Care Center
PICC brings babies safely through withdrawal from drugs, including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines, methadone, and prescription drugs. The pioneering program also facilitates visitation for families, provides caregiver training, and follows the babies after they leave, and offers and a range of community outreach and education services.

Susan G. Komen Foundation
Thanks to people like you who share our vision of a world without breast cancer, we’ve made huge discoveries in finding new and better ways to detect the disease at its earliest stages. We now know so much more about the different types of breast cancer and specific ways to attack each kind. And we work day-in and day-out in communities throughout the world to ensure everyone can access quality care and these new advances.

The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center ministries in the United States provide an in-residence rehabilitation program with a focus on basic necessities. Persons who have sought our ministry, nurture, and healing have come with issues of substance misuse, legal problems, relational conflicts, homelessness, unemployment, and most importantly, a need for spiritual awakening and restoration.

Treehouse
Treehouse has filled the gaps for kids in foster care, providing services that no other agency addresses: money for extra-curricular activities and summer camp, professional educational support services, resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up, clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school.

Union Gospel Mission
Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission is a private faith-based organization that helps the community reaches out with compassion to those who have lost hope. They serve the homeless community 365 days a year with food, shelter and clothing.
